I deliver Fresh Little Education Resilience Programmes to schools and youth groups across County Antrim and also areas within County Derry. I'm an accredited qualified counsellor (BACP) with years of experience working for different organisations.
I have always had a passion for working with young people which originated in a recognition of their vulnerability and so I am grateful for the opportunity to deliver this exciting programme to children of primary school age.
I have a wealth of experience having previously worked for the NSPCC organisation Childline; working on a one to one basis with young people, helping to provide the autonomy needed to face challenging situations and to feel better able to cope with all that life can entail. I have also worked therapeutically with young people at both Cruse Bereavement and through my counselling practices, Achieve Wellbeing Counselling Services in Magherafelt and my individual practice in Ballyclare.
I believe in the power of providing our young people with the skills and knowledge needed to better understand their emotions, have techniques and practical skills to cope with whatever they are going through whether at school, clubs, with friends or with family at home.
I feel privileged to be a facilitator for the Fresh Little Minds Programmes and believe in the powerful learning, resources and techniques that it delivers to our young people.
